Spotting during early pregnancy

Since Tuesday I’ve been having dark and light brown spotting occasionally when I wipe. It’s not enough to wear a liner though some days it’s mixed with CM. I’m six weeks today and I was wondering if anyone else is going through this? I called my doctor last week and they told me to wait until my appointment next week and think it’s related to residual implantation bleeding. I’m trying not to freak out, and my sister had the same thing with her pregnancy at the same time.
