Brown discharge almost 37 weeks

I will be 37 weeks on Wednesday and have been having contractions but not frequent enough yet. The doctor checked me today and said I’m at 1.5cm dilated (I was at 1cm 3 days ago when I was in the hospital for the contractions.) I’ve had a little bit of spotting (only 2x in the last week) but they said that was normal and I’ve been losing small pieces of my plug, well I went to the bathroom just now and have this when I wipe. It hasn’t been there until now. Could it be from the check earlier? More pieces of my plug? Anyone have this?
