Heart beat doppler!?

Considering purchasing a doppler for at home. Do you have one? Love it? What brands and where did you get?!

Love it! No joke I bought it on a Thursday and got it on Saturday! The only odd thing is that you have to hold down the power button for it to turn on and off.

I have one. I received it from a charity after two consecutive losses. It’s called an Angel Sounds. It gives me piece of mind. I use it about once a week. It’s easy to tell what is the baby’s heartbeat, because that is much faster than an artery or your heartbeat.

I don’t have one and won’t get one. I have had two previous losses and was tempted once but once I spoke to my midwife she suggested against getting one and said all midwives in the clinic do. Like she said we aren’t trained to use them and there are four different pulses you are fighting against to determine which is your babies heart beat. So for me personally I wouldn’t find reassurance in that and would second guess what I’m actually listening too.

I got mine from babies r us, I used it before 17 weeks when I couldn’t feel the baby move and it gave me peace of mind! Now I only use it sparingly because I can feel her moving, mine was only $70 and I got more Johnson and Johnson aloe Vera gel from Walmart and it works like a charm!
