Successful long distance relationships?

Does anyone have any long distance relationship success stories?! My sister is in one and extremely happy but Afraid it won’t move past what it is! Anyone have any stories I can share with her to help! 😊❤️

My husband and I met online, him from England and me from California. We’re currently in the process of him immigrating here and we have a 7 month old daughter :) it’s so hard but so worth it

If it’s meant to be it can work. It can be hard to get to know a person that way though. I’ve been in two long distance relationships and am two years married with my second 🥰 
My first long distant quickly ended because there’s a bigger commitment and trust needed. And in the end, we just didn’t like each other enough to stay in a relationship where we could go months and months without seeing the other person. I doubt this would have worked if we weren’t long distance so it’s a blessing in disguise.
With my husband, I was afraid it wasn’t going to work but it did. He never used the distances or tight finances as an excuses to not be there for me. Video chats for half hour at night, a quick call on his way to work, and a few texts throughout the day to let me know that he hasn’t forgotten about me. Like close relationships, they need to show you their interested and still put you first. It can be hard to know how he’ll end up treating you if you keep excusing how you feel based on distance. Like if he makes you feel unloved or something, that’s not the distance. That’s the person. As long as your able to recognize that and be able to walk away then I would say the long distance is bad. Just continue to expect what you would in a closer relationship (except sex). 
And FYI my husband and I got married after almost two year of long distance relationship, him in NY and me in CA. we moved in together a few months after getting married and our marriage has been amazing❤️❤️❤️

🙋‍♀️My husband and I did long distance basically our entire relationship when we were dating. We both live in PA but lived 2 1/2 hours from each other. And then he went to college in Virginia 6 hours away for 2 years and then transferred back to PA to finish his degree. It was really tough and the distance sucked but we made it work! We did “break up” once for like 3 months about 2 years into our relationship, but it was so minor we don’t even count it. We just say we’ve been together 11 years, married for 5 😁

My now husband and I were in a long distance relationship. We started dating right before he graduated from undergrad. We only dated for 3 months before he moved away for graduate school. I still had a couple years before graduating so we decided to try out long distance. Well it worked out for 2.5 years until I graduated and moved in with him. It was hard but worth it. We were 6 hrs apart and luckily his family lived close by so he came back for every holiday. We would make sure to see each other once a month. We have been together for 11 years and married 5. I truly believe if they are the one for you you will find a way to make it work. 🥰

It all depends on the people in the relationship. I think semi long distance as in you can still see each other every now and then can be good. It helps built the friendship which I think makes relationships stronger. 
For 4 1/2 years my husband and I were about 45 min away. Some say that’s not long distance but we only saw each other weekends since we both worked weekdays. And sometimes it would be 2 weeks before we saw one another because at some point I had 3 jobs. 
We talked everyday and built up that friendship. It became harder at the end though but thankfully we bought a home at that point and moved in together. 
Then a few years ago before we got married he was on the other side of the state for a job for a few months only coming home one weekend in a month. In all honesty that was HARD! I’m not gonna lie. Especially because we had a life where we saw each other everyday and then bam that schedule. We were together for 9 years at that point not married. He was highly stressed and started getting depressed. That’s a whole nother story though. 
Sorry for this being so long but basically it’s about how loyal they are to each other and trust is a huge thing as well.

Currently live with my bf. We were long distance for a little over a year. It was difficult at times but definitely worth it in the end. I think what really helped is I visited him a couple times and we talked on the phone at least twice a day anywhere from 5 minutes to a few hours. We also wrote letters and had a date of when he was gonna move back - which helped a lot.
