Ultrasound day! How to find out gender??

Okay I need help deciding what to do! We go for our big ultrasound in about an hour and I’m struggling deciding what to do..last minute I know 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. We definitely want to find out the gender today but *how* is the question.

I’m curious: how many of you learned the gender right there in the ultrasound room?

Our other way we’re thinking is to have the tech put the gender in the envelope and we open at home in private to have more genuine reactions..

If we do it at home, will we miss a lot of the ultrasound by having to “look away”?
