Pap smear results

I had a pap smear done a week ago and they tested for HPV also because I wasn't sure if I had ever been tested for it. I just got a call from the nurse and she said my cervical cells were normal but I did test positive for HPV. She said she wanted to test me again in a year. What does this mean? I'm completely freaking out right now. I've been with only my husband for 16 years. Does this mean he has it? Did I have this before him? Did he give it to me? When did I actually get it? So many questions.
