Bleeding since August

Okay mammas when I went to my 6 week postpartum visit I was suppose to get on birth control well my husband and I had sex before the 6 weeks so my doctor wanted me to wait til I started my period well I had that day lightly and that monday I went for the depo well ever since than I have continued to bleed and it has not stopped my nurse said it could be from depo well I'm past due for my other one and I'm still continuing to bleed. I have no idea what to do and my doctor cant get me in til January and really dont want to go to er or urgent care cuz thats uncomfortable
