Baby monitor???

Question

I’m looking for one to buy since I don’t have it on my registry and my baby shower is in two days... I’m having a hard time deciding which one to go with. 
Do you have any suggestions on which monitor I should get? I’d like to know what you like about yours or don’t like 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you just want audio, the inexpensive v-tech ones are great and easy to find on amazon, at target, etc.
We’ve had less luck with video—they tend to be some combination of the following: expensive, die after a while (less than a year), have crappy resolution, have bad security protocols. One company that makes video monitors that are ok and fairly inexpensive is HelloBaby; if you want to use your phone as the monitor, some people like cameras from Arlo or Nest.

I got mine off Groupon. It’s simple and you download an app to view from your phone. Much more affordable as well.

I have a vtek camera one. Originally 170, got it unused on kijiji for 60.
