Long birth story ahead...

Here's my induction story-

Tuesday oct 22, I was at my regular appointment and we discussed when I should be induced due to my gestational diabetes. My doctor said I am ready and he would put me on the next available list at my hospital and to expect a call from them within the next few days. They called me Thursday and said I should be able to come friday and they would call between 4-6 pm to give me a time to come. No call came friday so I called and asked when to come but they were busy and said they would call when they were ready for me. No call saturday still but they called at 7 am sunday and said to come on to the hospital. I took a shower and got there a little after 8. They had me checked in but had no orders from my doctor so they waited to hear from him for several hours before they could start me on anything. Finally, just after 12, they got ahold of him and were able to start me on cervadil. They inserted that and we were supposed to wait 12 hours to take that out and then start pitocin after the cervadil was out. The cervadil started my contractions and they were back to back with no break in between so they had to take it out early, around 8 pm to give the baby a break. We never started the pitocin because after the cervadil came out, I was already in labor so it wasn't necessary. I labored until about 8 am getting an epidural somewhere in the middle but all that did was make my legs tingle but I could still feel everything else. We started pushing just after 8:00 monday morning and i was exhausted already so I had a really hard time pushing. I thought I couldn't do it at one point but somehow I kept going and my little guy, ethan, was born at 9:15am on october 28.
