Questions about labor

💚 Erica 💚 • 💖 Kaylee’s Mom 💖🥰💙 Due Nov 24th with baby Noah 💙

Little back story.. currently 36 weeks and 5 days.

Last week my doctor told me I'd be havig my baby by 38 weeks whether I go into labor myself or by c section. My baby is small. I had a previous c section due to her being breech, she was also small. He says he won't induce me because of the risks, but if I go into labor naturally he won't stop me. He also said small babies dont tolerate natural birth well. Hes going to start checking my cervix to see if its favorable at my next appointment on Tuesday, I'll be 37 weeks and 2 days. I've been going for scans and profiling every week to monitor growth and blood flow. Always passed the profiling, so baby is safe and sound, just small.

So few thoughts and questions from other mamas.

How can I help my body go into labor naturally, I've heard sex, walking, certain foods work. Have any of those worked for other mamas? I'd never try to put myself in labor if my doctor wasn't thinking about delivery soon, I really want to avoid a c section this time but will obviously do what's best for baby.

When losing your mucus plug, is that indicative of labor? And does there have to be blood in it in order for it to actually be your mucus plug?

Any mamas have a similar birth story and want to share? I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the whole thing and looking for guidance.

What are some questions I should be asking my doctor? Feeling confused and lost a little..
