How long has your washer lived before you had to buy a new one?

I’ve went through two washer in 5 years!!! What is going on !!! Is it just me? My grandma had hers last only 5 years. Same with my mom! What is the world coming too?

My moms washer lasted 13 years lol dryer lasted 14.. 
My grandma had her washer for so many years, we had to make her get a new one even though it wasn’t broken 😅

Do live on well water? If so that could be the issue. My mil washer only lasted about 7 years. Mine is 5 years old but I have to have maintenance done regularly to ensure the hoses are cleaned out. My mother gets really bad iron deposits and it damages her washer pretty quick (3years). All of us have well water

my family moved to a new house and didn't take our washer/dryer with us but the ones that came with the house haven't changed in at least a decade. they still do the job well though!

🤷‍♀️. We have lived in our house 15 years I think and have got one new set.  Maybe 5 year ago. Not sure.  The one before come with the house. I don’t know how old there were they worked good.  You could be over loading them. I have heard that is a big problem with the newer ones that people way to much in.  They are not made for that.

We have my grandma's washer, I'm pretty sure it's at least 15 years old. We have had to get another dryer though, but only because we needed a gas dryer instead of an electric when we moved.

Maybe buy an extended warranty that the repair and parts are covered.  They are not made the way they use to specially since everything has some kind of computer in it it is easier to break.  Knock on Wood I had mine since November 2013 when we brought our house we brought brand new ones whirlpool brand.

I'm currentl using my grandma's washer and dryer and there's no telling how long they've been around 😂 she doesn't replace anything so I'm confident it's been over 10 years. My washer washes super slow and my dryer dries slow but it does the job
