Overwhelmed
Definitely starting to feel like we won’t be prepared when baby boy comes. I will be 24 weeks tomorrow and we have been working on our house to get the nursery ready and fix up things that need fixing. Yesterday we pulled up the carpet in the babies room to put down new flooring and found beautiful hard wood floors. So now we are going to sand, stain, and polyurethane the floors in the room and hallway to match. Which is more work than just putting down the flooring like before. Then we decided the flooring can go in the kitchen, but that means tearing up linoleum (which is scratched and permanently dirty) and laying down the wood flooring. It feels like we are almost done with one project and end up going bigger and adding more projects as we go. What started out as small fixes here and there is now a major remodel and we only have 4 months left to do it. Not to mention we haven’t ordered furniture or anything else for the baby. Just feels like we bit off more than we can chew, but we don’t want to be remodeling when baby is here. Can anyone else relate? What did you do?
