Please help!!!

I’m desperate... I got a call from my sisters today that my mom was taken in an ambulance to the hospital and put on suicide watch. She got extremely drunk and told her friend that she doesn’t want to be here anymore and that she wanted to kill herself, thankfully her friend called the police and they took her. But they released her and told us she wasn’t a danger to herself and that we cannot section her. I’ve been dealing with this all my life and my mom has a drinking problem and abusing her prescription. (She was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago) she takes gabapentin and perks and drinks on top of that. Even though she’s allergic to gabapentin... we can’t get previous hospital reports from taking her in because of hippa law and we need proof that she’s a danger which i didn’t know. I don’t know how to go about it and I can’t lose my mom to this. It’s been going on for more than I’ve been alive and she’s lost all of her family in the process and I feel like this is her last hope

Please tell me what i can do, I’m devastated
