I was on depo for 4-5years. After my first miscarriage, 6 months after being off depo it took me a year and half to get pregnant

the depo can stay in your body for a year after you last shot expires. it could be longer, research has not been able to pin point how long exactly. I will say this, with my ex husband I definitely did not want anymore kids, so I was on the depi for a long time, then got the mirena, as well as used plan b.... my youngest is 14. my current SO and I tried for 2 years with no success. I got sick last wi yet and had to take Robitussin (generic brand) and I got pregnant with a month afterwards.

I only had 2 depo shots. I didn't have a period for 18 months, after my last shot "expired". Then it took an additional 9 months to conceive.
