Has anyone had/done polygel nails?

If so can you tell me if you prefer polygel or acrylics and why? I’ve been trying to grow out my natural nails forever..they always start to break one by one when I’m almost to the length I want. I looked into getting acrylics done but hear they do a lot of damage to your nail beds, so I’m not so sure about it. Is polygel less damaging? Is it as durable as acrylics? I’m very hard on my nails at work.
