Water birth stories

Hi there, I’m considering doing a water birth for my second. I’m not even pregnant yet but I like to plan things... anyway, I had a medicated birth in June, it was not the best. I had no idea what I was doing. I’m more educated on the subject now and I’m looking into what will be more comfortable for baby #2

If you’re open to sharing, I’d love to know a lot of things about water birth. Also about having a midwife instead of a doctor. Did you tear? Were you swollen at all afterwards? Was it more relaxing? Is Unmedicated better than medicated?

All that stuff.
