When do you decorate for the holidays?

I started seeing people put up holiday stuff the morning of Nov 1st...I am seeing when most people put their decorations out just out of curiosity.  I am talking about any holiday past Thanksgiving so the specific holiday doesn't matter. This way a very contentious debate in my office so please keep it civil in the comments...I feel like I shouldn't have to say that for this topic but it got a little heated at work and everyone knows/likes each other there haha. Let the holiday debate begin!!

Growing up we’ve always done it one December 1st. Continued that tradition with my hubby but now with 2 small kids we wait a little longer because they just want to touch and tear down the decorations lol

Anyone considering not decorating this year because you're due right after, on or near the holidays?  Im just trying to avoid a big cleanup and put-away sesh after the baby arrives. God knows we'll be busy as it is.

We personally just started doing little by little. We usually wait to do our big big tree until day after Thanksgiving, and we don't light our lights up outside until the night after Thanksgiving.

We normally do everything the day after thanksgiving; drink wine and decorate all day ha one of my favorite traditions. However this year I’m due Dec 2nd but likely being induced nov 25th, so our tree is already up. It will not be a tradition by any means, but just for this year, I wanted to have November to decorate so it’s done before baby arrives. Instead of my normal marathon decorating sesh, I’m taking it slow this year.

We put our tree up on/around my birthday which is October 27th. Then i decorated the rest if the house over time.

We won't do a tree until after Thanksgiving because we go cut ours down, but I might be decorating our mantle soon

My fiance's birthday is dec 14. He's always insistent that we put Christmas up after his bday. Sooo, the 15th it is 😅

Normally I’ve always waited until the day after thanksgiving. This year is me and hubby’s first year in our house and I’m being induced with our first next week so we decided to go ahead and put our tree up to make things easier. Slowly decorating but trying not to go too crazy yet because I love Christmas decorations.
