Just Curious Wine is fine...what about weed?

Question

Jesus turned water into wine..therefore meaning he made that..so we can drank that right??? It isn't sinning? God put weed on Earth so doesn't make it right so smoke it? It isn't sinning?? I don't do neither but just wondering.

I believe the moment it impairs your judgment or makes you drunk or high it becomes sin.

1. Does it violate the law of the land? Is it legal?
2. Does it violate your conscience?
Sometimes everything thatbis permissible is not beneficial to us and God may warn you by speaking to you and your conscience?
3. What exactly is its purpose? Escape? Pleasure? If it is escape God teaches us to lean on him and trust him and cast all cares on him. Using it to “relax” or “escape” can lead to addiction and not dalimg with the heart of matter and trusting God.
4. Does it potentially harm your body? Body is a temple.

Wine at that time was totally different then wine available today. I personally believe it impairs my thinking and will not drink it.

Look to see if it’s legal in your state. I don’t consume alcohol, never have and never will. I have also never consumed weed or any other illegal drug and never will. 
The law determines what is and isn’t ok.

I personally believe in my soul that medical marijuana, in forms that are for pain and not highs, are just medicine. 
Anything that is used just for a high is definitely not okay. And it can make you do a lot of bad things, that affect yourself and others. It’s not worth it. Getting high is basically giving control over to something else and not God.

I would say if you’re taking it for medicinal purposes, fine. Same as taking morphine for pain. If you’re taking it to get high, not good. We shouldn’t be doing anything that impairs our judgment.

I don't have a problem with responsible alcohol use, because I know biblically that it was okay. BUT not when it impairs your judgement. No getting drunk.
So if you are getting high, it's affecting your mind, your thoughts, and actions.
So that is bad. But it's not bad in itself, just if we abuse it.

It’s legal here in Canada. I would take it the same way as alcohol - don’t get drunk or high so your judgment is impaired. I know a few people who take it medicinally for pain in our church and one person who works in a dispensary
