Hello ladies ☺️, I’m currently 19 years old going on 20 very soon. Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for about 6 months. Have had no luck. I have pcos and was on birth control on and off for about a year. How do I explain to my Gyno that I want to start trying and what I can do to help me fall pregnant without her judging me? Also rarely get a period, do you ladies have any trips to bring a period on? Because I am not going on birth control to “ help my period “ as they say. No negative comments please. YES I KNOW I’m young, but I also have my own house, car, pay my own bills and own my own business. 🥰❗️❗️

If you’re confident defending your choices to strangers then you should be confident enough to have a frank conversation with your GYN. If you can’t have the conversation then you can’t handle being pregnant and giving birth.

Girl your story is exactly the same as mine.. I have pcos and they told me just go on birth control. so I switched drs and she actually sat down with me and said what are your goals for a family in the next year? I told her I’m not trying but I’m also not not trying.. we are not trying to conceive a baby but we are also not trying to prevent a baby. She said ok well then the only thing is that if you follow a low carb high protein diet it helps the insulin resistance. It also is great for helping lose weight. Which is important because most women who lose 30% of their body weight are able to get pregnant within a year ON THEIR OWN! So I went home and said ok I’ll give it like 2 weeks then if I hate it I’m out and it worked!I lost 25 pounds! When I went in to my check up and she was like ok I’m happy with your progress. So then she put me on metformin! She knew what my a1c was at a baseline and when I got on that I dropped another 15-20 pounds it was great! Now my cycles are very regular!!

just tell them you want to get your period and ovulation in order so you can get pregnant. you don’t have to defend your choice to anyone and if they say you’re too young or anything... get a new doctor.
