What to expect when going to hospital for spotting???

Okay so I been light spotting almost my whole pregnancy, no pain or anything. I am 10 weeks today and my first doc appt is Monday. Anyways I called and told my doctor I’m spotting again and she told me to go get a blood test done and to go to the er cuz it’s better with our insurance. What should I expect when I go in? Are they gunna just give me a blood test? Would they give me an ultra sound?  Will they look for a heart beat since I’m bleeding?

They will probably do bloodwork and an ultrasound. I’ll also probably label it as a threatened miscarriage because that’s just what they do. I believe they do it to everyone for insurance billing purposes for the most part. Also don’t be surprised if they don’t allow you to see the ultrasound or get pictures. I think that’s kind of the procedure for the ER.￼

Answer

Probably bloodtest and ultrasound. That’s what they did for me to make sure baby was alive and implanted in the right spot.
