Sneak Peek results are in! How accurate it it?

Our sneak peak results are in, and we are having a girl. I’ve heard the test is very accurate (especially with girls). We did the test at 11 weeks. I am afraid to announce the gender until it is confirmed by ultrasound in case I am the 1% that is wrong. What has been your experience if you have done it? How accurate is it?

It’s pretty accurate for girls, not so much when it says boy. Mine said boy, but I have two sons, a husband, and 2 male cats. I feel that it’s wrong, so we will see in a few weeks.

The at home test is not as accurate. The test done in the clinic setting is around 99%, but I think that largely depends on the facility.

My SIL did it 2x and it was accurate for a boy and a girl. I just did mine at 12 weeks and it came back girl! I tend to think there’s a higher risk of it being wrong if it says you’re having a boy because your sample could have been contaminated by male dna. So I feel like the girl prediction it accurate because there’s nothing to contaminate it. Crossing fingers for both of us!!
