Beyond lost

So I met this guy and we’ve gone on a couple of dates. He lives an hour away and has driven out to see me. He asked me to spend the night which I did making sure to tell him we wouldn’t be having sex which was a big lie. The next day we were supposed to hang out but his friend got out of the hospital ( I have proof he didn’t make it up). We continued to talk after and have hung out again. He’s very caring and present everytime I talk to him. The only thing is he asked if we were a good idea bc he lives so far and is hard to tie down. Should I just drop him or wait it out
