After the crib, what are you putting you kids into?

If you’ve already moved your kids, any tips or tricks? How long can kids stay in toddler beds? Is it worth it to get one or just go to a bigger sized bed?

Toddler bed for now. Full size bed is next but probably not until she’s 4-5. We bought a crib that converts to a toddler, day, and full bed. 
Tip: just get them excited about the change. We just hated off the stairs and shut all of the other bedrooms/laundry room and tell her if she needs us we are down the hallway. We also bought night lights for the hallway so she can find us. Some nights she wakes up and wants a cuddle so she just gets up and walks down to our room with her dolly and climbs into our bed. Works for us for now and is crazy sweet.

Our crib converts. We are thinking of putting him into the toddler bed part this Christmas when we give him a new bed set in construction theme. He’s 2.

We bought a crib that converts to toddler, then to full size. We switched him to his big boy toddler bed around 18 months old. We just acted really excited about it & put a childproof cover on the door knob on the inside of his room so he couldn’t open it. He coslept with us until he was about a year-14 months old so he is used to sleeping without the bars or a crib/staying in bed. We will probably be converting to the full bed around his 3rd birthday. He’s getting a bit tall

We are planning on getting a full mattress, because another friend had a point it’s nice when kiddo is sick and you have to share a bed that at least you can be comfortable as well.

With toddler beds and how long they'll fit in it it honestly depends on the kid. My oldest is almost 6 and still fits in one (she's petite) but my second will likely have to be in a bigger bed by the time she's 3, since she's more normal sized (maybe a bit on the tall side?) 
My girls share pants and socks and they're about 4 years apart 😅

I would skip the toddler bed if you can. We got a used frame for $10 just so she would get use to the bed....we used it for a month before we switched her to a queen mattress on the floor. It was fine since we only spent $10 but it was a waste for us. She’s been in a queen since she was like 16/17 months old. We kept the same bedtime routine and really talked up the big kid bed/acted excited.
