This morning was my turn! Birth Story

Ronda

Well, went at 10:30 for routine appointment. Was still at a 1. OB has me come to the hospital at midnight to be induced, which really didn’t start till after 1am, I was at a 2.5cm at best. They up my pitocin every so often and I’m just walking it all out and dancing and just breathing, solid 3.5cm by 6:30am. Well, keep upping that pitocin and I’m at a pain level 7 and at a good 5cm at 8:30am. Suddenly after my OB left to go back to the office across the street after I denied having my water broken for me, I felt the urge to push around 10am. At this point, I’ve had no pain medicines, denied epidural, and just walked and yelled out the pain. Baby was coming out in the sac with the cord around her neck, but everything got fixed and my only words when she came was “HOLY SHIT” while everyone else was bawling crying. I got to welcome little Elliana Avery into the world at 10:11am after only pushing 2 times to get her out. I am blessed to have had a natural delivery for my first baby and the whole maternity floors nurses were absolutely incredible. At a nice little 6lbs 10oz and 19.5 inches, here she is!!
