How to post registry link without being tacky?

Question

So, my husband & I live 1,500 miles away from both of our families. We’re currently 16w6d pregnant with a baby boy! 
I’ve started a baby registry in Walmart & instead of just texting people the link one by one i thought I would just post it in a status on Facebook so there’s no chance of forgetting someone but I just think that’s super tacky. I don’t want to be like, “hey here’s our registry! Buy us stuff!” 
We’re having a virtual baby shower since we’re so far away from everyone. 
How can I just put the link out there without being tacky?

What if you make it an event and invite the family members in your friend list?

I just made a status that said “a lot of you have asked for our registry link and rather than respond individually I thought I’d post it here so you can find I easily. While we appreciate it, we absolutely do not expect gifts.”

Send a pregnancy announcement with your registry info

Make a fake account
Add yourself as a friend 
Make a status on your real account saying you made a registry to keep a checklist of all the things you need to get and how it’s keeping you organized 
Use your fake account to comment on the status saying “hey, girl! I wanna get you and the baby something! :) can you link the registry?” 
Comment back with your real account saying “that’s so sweet of you! I appreciate just a well wish, but if you’d like to gift us something, here is the link: (insert link here)”
Lol. Or ask a close friend or family member to comment on your page asking for it lol idk that’s what I would do
