Breastfeeding issues

Hey guys, so I am a FTM and I’m really having some issues trying to get my baby to latch correctly. When I was in the hospital, I called the LC sooooo many times because I was having problems. She got him to latch immediately, But the second I would do it, it just wasn’t happening. My baby is going to be a month in a few days and I’m still having problems getting him to latch properly. I’ll give a list of some things I’m having problems with and maybe you guys can give me some advice, Ibe literally tried everything else.

Here are the main issues that I notice:

• his bottom lip doesn’t go far below enough the nipple.

•he makes clicking noises

• I can’t get my breast to go deep enough in his mouth.

•his lips don’t “flange” out

•his mouth “slips” and his lips reposition a moment later(I’ll get him to finally latch good and he will move and the latch is ruined)

He doesn’t seem to have tongue or lip tie either. If he does it’s not bad from what I’ve seen.

How long did it take for you guys to get the latch right for your first baby?
