She’s here!
It’s estimated only 5% of babies are actually born on their due date... so I wonder what the statistic is for going into labor on your due date naturally with both of your babies?!
My son was born on his due date in 2017. My daughter was due 11/13/19. I had a doctor’s appointment where I was told I was 5cm dilated (had been dilating for a month) and an induction was set for 11/18. I was also told since I was going over 40 weeks that I needed to have NSTs between then and Monday so I went ahead and went downstairs to my hospital after my appointment. They kept me for a good hour and when they went to release me told me I’d been having contractions about 4 minutes apart but because they weren’t causing me any pain went ahead and sent me on my way.
Once I got home they started to get more painful and I knew things were going to go quick like they did with my son so we got a grandparent over and took off to the hospital. Within an hour I was in horrible pain and dilated to a 6/7. They got me in a room and anesthesia got my epidural on board. My mom and father in law came to hang out with us and we just relaxed wondering if she was going to make it on her due date just like her big brother. Midnight came on us quick but by 12:15am they were setting up for pushing. She was out with two and a half pushes and born at 12:30am.
