Heart palpitations ?! Serious advice needed 😭

I am 17 weeks pregnant and for the last 3 days every time I get up and walk (even just to the other room) I’m having extreme heart palpitations. When I’m at rest I’m completely fine it’s only when I start moving. Everyone around me keeps telling me I’m fine and not to worry but I’m terrified 😭 has this happened to anyone else?

I had several weeks of annoying heart palpitations, they finally went away after a few weeks. Hang in there, they are a common side effect to pregnancy and will eventually go away. I took lots of deep breaths and that helped. You may want to bring it up at your next appointment but my doctor didn't have a concern as my heart rate was normal for a pregnant women and babies heart rate was fine. Hope they go away soon!

That happened to me as well! I mentioned it to my OB and she wasn’t too concerned. I’d mention it to your OB to be safe, but I think it’s fairly common. Try not to worry 🙂

Palpitations themselves aren’t dangerous. It’s dangerous if it is presenting due to an underlying condition. Pregnancy increases blood volume by so much and your heart is probably overwhelmed. I’d let your doctor know, they may want to see you, but you’re probably okay!
