How was 3rd birth?

We have 2 kids, 5 and 11 1/2 months old. Currently 16 weeks with baby girl who was not planned lol. But I'm curious as to how other mama's labors and births went with their 3rd? I'm a little more nervous this time. With  my daughter, labor was 17 hrs, and pushed for almsost 2 to get her out. My son, it was 7 hrs and pushed for 30 min. I went into labor on my own each time, so im a little terrified that this one is going to be even quicker 😅

My first was born at 26 weeks and I was in labor for 15 mins before she came out.
My second was born at 27 weeks and was born within 5 mins of ONE CONTRACTION thankfully I lived just a minute from the hospital. That was scary I’m im absolutely terrified that this baby will come just as fast.  I’m 34+3 at the moment so I made it past the 26 week stage at least. That’s one less worry. Hope he stays in a little bit longer and as weird as it sounds, I hope I actually get to experience labor and birth a little more than one contraction and pop him out :(

First was 51 hours from first contraction, and ended up needing pitocin as labor stalled and Baby’s heart rate was dropping.  Second was about 13, but again needed pitocin as labor stalled once I got to the hospital again (and was in prodromal labor with him for weeks prior).  Third was 5.5 hours total, and I was in complete shock because my labor tends to stall once I get to the hospital.  Contractions came on fast at 11pm, and were immediately 6/5 minutes apart.  Still I was in denial as my labors are long, but by 12:45Pm I struggled to breathe thru them and woke my husband because we had to drop my baby older 2 at my parents, and drive 40 minutes to the hospital.  Got there for 2am and as I was in pain thru a contraction told the nurses that my labor tends to slow down once I get to the hospital.  Turns out I was fully effaced and 6cm....and I had him by 4:26am.  They say the third is the wildcard and they aren’t kidding.  All my labors got faster with each kid, and more intense (but pushing number 2 and 3 out was a breeze!). Trust your body and if something feels off, go in.  Better to be sent home then have the baby at home!

My third as well, my first was 26 hours my second was 2.5.. as weird as it sounds I hope its somewhere in the middle, 2.5 hours was too fast and I was in literal shock for weeks about it after. It just felt surreal like it happened to someone else. Anyway I’m hoping under 6 but we shall see!

Following! I'm on my 3rd also, my first was born 5 hours after I went into labor and my second was born 14 hours after labor started. Im really nervous about labor this time around for some reason...

I really thought my 3rd would come so quick. My first from first contraction to birth was 14 hours and the second was 6. So I really thought number 3 would be 6 hours or less. That was not the case at all. From first contraction to birth it took 23 hours. I always hate asking this question and wanting to hear positive quick labor feed back (due with my 4th soon) and hearing otherwise. I can honestly say that I know the reason my labor with number 3 was prolonged, was caused by her position. She was breech until a few days before I went into labor. I started contracting with her  and they lasted about 6 hours.. pain free. Like minimal pains. Got to the hospital and was 6-7cm. Amazing. But she was stuck in a weird spot. They broke my water and tried to get her to come down.. HOURS later they gave me pitocin. No change. Hours after that, they gave an ultrasound to find out she was sunny side up and her forehead was on my cervix. I didn’t know enough about other methods to help baby engage the pelvis better so we waited for her. Once she was coming down, she was down. I went from 6-7 to 10 within about 10 seconds and I couldn’t for the life of me- stop pushing. She would have been born around that 6hour mark also if the hospital knew more about labor positions and didn’t make me lay on my back the whole time ☹️.
