Almost 37 and everyone keeps telling me it's perimenopause :'(

I'll be 37 on Dec 5th. I have 3 kids ages 15, almost 13, and 2.

I'm on the pill. I never miss.

My period has always come on Tues or Wed of my placebo pill week.

2 months ago, it didn't come until Friday and it was over by Sunday morning. Kind of a light month. Okay...fine.

This month...NOTHING. 0% bleeding. A touch of brown while wiping here and there...but nothing in my panties. I do feel a bit crampy and kinda bloated.

I took 2 pregnancy tests. 100% negative.

Today is Sunday. I'm supposed to start my new pack of pills tonight.

Of course, this kinda concerned me. Telling my friends, whom are mostly the same age, they ALL are saying MENOPAUSE! Like, "oh well....you're drying up. No question. So sad."

WHY is this the first thing everyone says?! I'm not even 40! My mother, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother....none of them started the change until 45 or older.

WHY is this the first thing women say when this happens if your pregnancy test is negative?!

It's kinda mean. 🥺
