Intermittent fasting

I’ve made a post 2 days ago about intermittent fasting . Someone had told me I can do it everyday but the more YouTube channels I watched they said doing it everyday can actually make you gain weight . So I’ve done it Friday until today. Tuesday-thursdays will be the days I eat normal. Would that work or would you recommend alnternating days . Like Monday-fasting , Tuesday- normal . Wednesday- fasting , Thursday-normal Friday- fasting and so forth ?
