Clingy Or over reacting ?

My boyfriend is really clingy, sometimes i like it but other times I don’t and i tried explaining that to him but it’s like he doesn’t seem to understand, everywhere i go he wants to be right there with me. I’m a person who loves to have her alone time but it’s like ever since i took him out the friend zone &’ we made it official it has gotten out of hand. I’m not sure if I’m taking it out of proportion or what. I really enjoy his company but , i feel like i cant breath half the time .
