Any advice???

Question

Hey there ladies! I've just recently been diagnosed with PCOS this past Tuesday. Do any of you have any tips or tricks to helping conceive while having PCOS? I don't know much about it and due work I haven't had much time to do research like I need to. Thank you in advance to any all that take the time to read and answer!

I’ve PCOS for a few years now. Its slightly difficult to conceive when one has PCOS considering the follicles don’t grow/mature on their own. But if you are already getting regular periods every month, I don’t think you should worry too much. They say that lifestyle changes make a great impact in reducing the effects of PCOS. A healthy diet and regular exercise is the key. Lots of baby dust to you ! :)

Hey, sucks about the diagnosis. But some things I’ve been recommended:
* improve diet, more fruit and vegetables, less red meat, more legumes. This will help your body with insulin (a common problem with ladies work PCOS)
* maintain or increase medium intensity exercise (if you have a sedentary lifestyle get moving!)
* make sure you’re getting enough sleep (and keep your bedtime and wake up time as consistent as possible)
* work on reducing stress if you have a lot of it.
That’s basically it for now. If your doc prescribes meds take them, otherwise just be as healthy as you can.
Many people have conceived with PCOS, with and without the help of medication. I’ve not had the luck of being one of these people but I’m still trying. Good luck!
