Should I be induced? Help me by voting down below.

Question

I’m 40 +5 my Due Date was 11-15. Now this due date could definitely be wrong as my periods are irregular my last known period was November of last year. My schedule induction is this Friday at 7am.
Cons:If I choose to wait another week, there’s a good chance baby could share a birthday with my 5 year old Daughter, November 27. (Next Wednesday) We would be in the Hospital for Thanksgiving which I honesty don’t really care but it’s still a Con lol. & what if I still don’t go into labor naturally & need to be induced next week. I’m also legit scared to be induced. Idk I’m only 3cm & 50% effaced.
Pros: There’s only one & that’s id be able to make arrangements for my daughters & just be in Control of the morning.
Key points: I’ve called my OB, it’s my call I’ve had a healthy pregnancy baby is measuring a little bit smaller than average so his weight & my fluid levels aren’t a concern. Please help I told my SO I was leaving it in the hands of this poll cause I truly can’t decide for myself. 😭

I heard being induced SUCKS. However, it isn’t safe to wait too long. It could hurt the baby to stay in longer than a week past due

I was I deduced at 41 weeks. I know being dilated and effaced means nothing cause baby comes when they want but i was dilated to 0 and effaced at 50%  when I was 40 weeks. I had 0 contractions, no spotting, literally nothing. So I got induced, it ended in a csection because my daughter wasn’t reacting well pitocon. 
But overnight I went from 0 cm to 4 cm dilated & 80% effaced. 
It’s up to you, talk to your doctor about it. Personally I wish I would have waited but they can only have you wait so long. I believe after 42 weeks it becomes risky

I was induced early because I had cholestasis and my only advice if you do get induced is don’t be afraid to ask for pain relief if you feel you need it because the contractions can sometimes come thick and fast once your on the drip ❤️ Good luck with whatever you decide! xxx

I actually asked my doctor what he would do if I hit 40 weeks without any sign of labor because to be honest going over terrifies me. He told me he would induce like a day after 40 weeks because everything starts to slow down and your placenta is really aged at this stage. He wants to protect the baby at all costs and going over could cause some complications. I know tons of women who have gone over and everything is normal but personally I do not want to do that.
