Vaginas have a naturally sort of earthy smell/taste. (Earthy is the best way I can seem to describe it) if it didn't bother him then I'm sure its just your mind playing tricks on you but if your worried about it try a douche, eating some pineapple is said to make it taste sweeter (idk about that but some of my friends eat pineapple daily and notice it doesn't smell as much) and drink lots of water.
