Where is your baby going to sleep?

If the option is not listed please comment :) I’m trying to make decision to get a bassinet or not :) happy to hear your thoughts!

Co-sleeping (without a proper baby box or bassinet to put the baby in, while in your bed with you) is very dangerous. If you want to "co sleep" you have to have the baby in it's own bassinet type thing to put on the bed with you. There are many cases where parents have accidentally suffocated their infants by co-sleeping by simply having the baby laying next to them in bed. Very very dangerous. I am using the baby box or moses basket if I want the baby IN bed with me. But find a bassinet right next to the bed is fine! That's our plan.

I never thought I would co sleep but after I had my first it was the only way I could actually get some sleep because I knew she was safe and wasn't constantly worried about checking on her. However, I did have a bassinet by the bed that I put her in when I needed to go to the bathroom at night or get water ect. I have a chicco lullago portable bassinet that packs up super easy for using when traveling and that's the one I used by my bed for my first and will be using for this one. It's super handy.

In our room in a crib from the night we get home from the hospital until we wean (20 months with her big sis)

My son slept in a bassinet the first 12 weeks but we kicked him out of our room after that cause he was suchhhhhh a loud sleeper 😭 he went to the crib in his room and began sleeping through the night so I guess it worked out. 
I have a bassinet for this pregnancy, just easier the first few months to have them right there to grab and feed/change at night. There are PLENTY of ways to get used ones if you are on the fence and are worried about spending the money!

Bassinet  next to bed first 3 to 4 months then crib in nurseey

We bed share and use a bassinet for naps. Then transition to starting the night in the bassinet but after waking to nurse in bed with me. Around 4 months I start to try to get them to sleep all night in the bassinet (pack and play for us because my babies get big and strong fast) meaning if they wake to nurse I put them back after rather than pulling them into my bed. Once they start sleeping through the night consistently they will move to the nursery with their older 2 sisters.
