Low sperm morphology?

We’ve just found out my husband has sperm morphology of 2%, anything below 4% is considered a problem. Sperm count and mobility was normal. His Dr was useless in explaining what this means.

Does this mean we will need to go IVF? Is there any way to improve his sperm quality? Should we be having sex on particular days to maximise our chances?

We have a 2yo son but I’ve had two miscarriages (9 weeks and 8 weeks if that’s relevant).

I’ve made an appointment for my Dr to discuss a possible referral to a specialist, but can’t see her for another 6 days.

Please help, I’ll drive myself crazy in google until Saturday.
