Starting Clomid this week

We have been ttc for almost 2 years. I have been having regular scans and blood tests just to be told last week that I’m not ovulating.. My doctor has given me a prescription for Clomid and wants me to take 100mg on CD 2-5..
Has anyone taken these? Were you successful? Did you get any side effects?
