Is my spaghetti sauce still good? Lol

I have an UNOPENED can of Prego spaghetti sauce in my cabinet that says best by September 19, 2019. Would i still be able to use it? It’s been in my cabinet unopened the whole time. Thanks!

I wouldn't use it but I'm weird about expiration dates...

It’s fine as long as the button on the lid hasn’t popped up. The best by date just means the flavor may not be as awesome. The food inside canned and jarred items are good for years past the date printed on them. 
If it smells or looks weird though don’t eat it.

Depends on what it says. Does it say best by, sell by, or use by? If it says Use By throw it out. Otherwise go ahead and use it. Expiration dates really arent as clear cut as people think

I would typically use it, because it’s bottled and there’s a lot of sugar/sodium which preserves it as well.. but if you’re pregnant I probably wouldn’t chance it. It’s so cheap, it’s really not worth getting sick over.

Well it isn't magically "bad" on that date... :) usually expiration dates/best by dates are indicators of best taste and freshness. If the seal is intact, it's perfectly fine.

They say canned goods are good after the date....but. ...tomato sauce is very acidic and can cause deterioration of the lining of the inside of the can. So I say no.
