How many naps?

Hey guys! So I’m wondering how many naps your LO is taking right now. Mine will be 8 months next week and he still takes 3 naps a day. The problem (if it’s one!) is that he’s naps is only 40minutes long so he would be awake a long time between he’s two naps. Right now, I’m always following is cue, so I’m wondering if I should force him to take 2 naps. I’m kind of looking forward the day he will go to daycare (in 4 months) and he will only takes a nap in the afternoon.
Here’s his schedule, which is always the same everyday: 
-5am: wakes up
-7:30 to 8:10: first nap
- 11:30 to 12:10 : second nap
- 3:00 to 3:40 : third nap
- 6:30 : go to bed for the night

We’ve been on 2 naps for about a month. Wake windows of 2.5/3/3. Lately he’s been fighting hi second nap and it takes 2 tries to get him down. I’m hoping it’s just due to his leap....

It might be a rough transition at first but your LO may take longer naps when you switch to 2 naps a day... that’s what happened with my girl and I’m so happy she takes longer naps now!

Mine is taking 2- 30 min naps.  I just figure he doesn’t need a ton of sleep.

Either two 1 hour naps or four 30 minute naps

oops! accidently voted 1 nap. its differs for my LO. generally 3 naps still, but sometimes 2! just depends on the day.

We went from 3 naps first was 1.5 hours then both subsequent naps were about 30-40 min to only 2 naps and now am nap is about 1hr 15 min-1hr 45 min and a nap in the afternoon for about 1hr 30 min - 2 hrs! Wake windows are usually 2.5. -  3 -  3.5/4

Ours takes anywhere from 2-4 naps per day depending on how long they are. We just roll with it and follow his cues.

My girl takes about 2 naps a day. She wakes up between 7-8am and is usually down by 930.
Wakes up around 1230ish and goes back to sleep around 3 is wakes up around 430. 
She sleeps pretty well during naps, about 2-3 hours.  
I just watch her and if she starts rubbing her eyes,I put her down for a nap
 I dont force her to sleep because she will not until she is tired.

You have an early wake up so that right for his wake windows, we have an early wake up too so we do awake 5am - 7am, then nap 7 - 9am, awake 9 - 12ish then nap 12 for anything from 30mins to an hour and a half, then nap again around 2-3ish for another hour then bedtime 6.30.... So sounds about right for an early waker, if he stops sleeping through the night start stretching wake windows to eliminate the last nap xx
