Sorry TMI. I was wondering if anyone on this was on the implant contraception. I got it 6, 7 months ago and the month after I got my period as normal but the months after I had thick brown discharge for days/weeks. Has anyone on the implant had this??

That's actually the exact reason I'm getting the implant removed next week. I got it placed in April and have been consistently having thick, brown, bloody discharge like 2/3 of the time since then. My doctor tried some extra estrogen last month for a couple weeks to see if it would help balance things out and it didn't work. He said this happens to like 10% of the women who get the implant placed. I would definitely follow up with your doctor, especially since it's likely to not be healthy in the long run.

I’m on the implant and yes I get that while on my period of after my period with this birth control. I’ve experience a lot down there with the implant while being on my period. That’s the only flaw I have with the implant
