Already dilating?

Question

Im already dilated to "almost a 2" anyone else told this? My dr doesnt seem worried. I know you can be dilated for a long time before you go into labor. Ill be 25weeks Sunday. With my son I didnt dilate at all untill 36hrs after contractions started. And then it took another 24hrs to get to a 5 😮 so I'm not complaining. Just a bit taken back..

I read somewhere that it's more common for second pregnancies to have dilation earlier. 
But i find it odd that you're being checked already. Was there reasoning for starting that so soon?!

Im on my the and at a 2 aswell but i was a 1 last time the whole way

Does your doctor check you now at appointments for dilated ?

By 34 weeks I was at a 2. I'm not sure when my doc plans on going cervix checks but I plan on asking at my next appointment since I'm on my feet 8 hours a day 4-5 days a week. I'd like to know as early as possible when I should start taking it easy...especially since my first 2 came 2 weeks early.
