How to stop a 17 month old from breastfeeding?

Hey guys, I have a 17 month old that still lives on my breast and is really attached to me. A few weeks before I had to take medication and wasn’t able to breastfeed him and he was crying nonstop and kept me up all night. Do you guys know any ways to stop breastfeeding him?

Cut down on feedings, replace them with his favorite snack. Fruit, cheese, whatever. I weaned my daughter at 18 months, the last feeding I had was the night feeding. I replaced it with grapes or strawberries, it worked great.

Idk how to stop either 😝 20 months here 🙋🏻‍♀️ but we have cut back to some mornings (about 1/3 rd of the time he does 2/3rd doesn’t) & night before bed. The biggest thing I realized when we started cutting back was that even though we weren’t nursing he still needed that mommy time. So we’d sit & cuddle a few times a day & read or sometimes just chill but that really helped the fussing.
