Universal credit - childcare costs

Hi all,

Whilst pregnant I lost my job so I had to go onto universal credit. My baby is nearly one and I have a new job, which I start next week, although I will still qualify for universal credit.

I am aware I only start claiming childcare costs on the date he begins childcare and they pay it in arrears, but I pay for it weekly. Every time I pay my childminder, do I have to update universal credit or do I just do this once a month? I’m so confused
