For me, it's disheartening seeing bfn after bfn... Especially when it's close to AF time. It gets me super depressed, and I hate living that way. That's why I'll usually test once around 11 or 12dpo, but if it's bfn, I just try to accept it & wait for AF. Doing it that way allows me to hang on to a little bit of hope, rather than get so down seeing all the negatives followed only by AF's arrival (which only feels like a spit in the face on top of it all). Idk why, but for some reason, holding off on testing until I'm late & allowing myself that little bit of hope in the meantime is a lot less of a downer for me.
