Private scan?? Thoughts

Soo question for you ladies... hubby and I went for 28 week growth scan. We didn’t get any pictures and the tech didn’t even attempt 3D bc she said baby’s face was right against placenta. Should we try to do a private scan and pay out of pocket?? I don’t mind paying. I’m 30 weeks now. We just want to see our little one! Lmk your thoughts!

I say if you don’t mind paying for it then yes! We did with my son and will be with this baby as well. We use Indian health care (free) so they’re equipment just isn’t as good as it could be. Also at the private scan I felt like they really focused on getting us good face pictures rather than checking on anatomy and size. It’s also more relaxing and they really take their time to let you see. The place we go even gives you a dvd of the ultrasound and a teddy bear that plays the baby’s heartbeat.

Yes!!! I just got mine done and its worth every penny since i believe this pregnancy is a once in a life time experience lol. And since the technology is there to take a pic of your LO in the womb why not make use of it right? In the future we can show it to them once theyre older :)

I'd recommend it.
At my 20w scan they couldn't tell the gender but refused to do another scan so we booked a private one at 26w, it was so worth it.

Sure, if you’re okay with paying go for it. From my experience they’re really great and try to make sure they get good images. If not, I think many of them will let you come back again within a certain time frame to try again. I’ve had 2 with 2 other pregnancies bc we wanted to find out sex early, and I really liked them.

Yessss..worth it! Just had mine at 27 weeks and I will never regret it😍 I got over 70 pictures and we paid extra for the video
