Month long period...

I am currently 6 months pp and use the arm implant for birth control. Before I was always very regular and the implant didn't affect any of that at first. But now I have been on my period for over a month. The flow has been constant between medium and light with cramps. I have been stressed lately and at first chalked it up to the stress on my body. However, more and more people are saying I should go in to see my obgyn. Has anyone else had this issue? Would it be a good idea to make a appointment?
