Sick?😭

How many times have your babies gotten sick? My baby never got sick at all until he turned 6 months old. He just turned 8 months a few days ago and it looks like he’s sick again with his THIRD cold 😰 is this normal? 3 colds in 2 months? I’ve got to be honest I’m a little frustrated because I take so many precautions with keeping him healthy and every single time he gets sick I get sick and I just can’t be getting sick every month 😭😭😭 
Edited to add I’m a SAHM so he doesn’t go to daycare. And yes I exclusively breastfeed!

🙄 contrary to the other post- I stopped exclusively breastfeeding at 5 months and my kid is vaccinated. Knock on wood, he’s never been sick. I’m also not overly cautious. I’ve never asked people to wash hands every time they come over, I don’t wash things off every time he drops it, and he puts everything in his mouth. In my opinion, builds immunity 🤷🏼‍♀️. Every baby is different and every persons immunity is different so please, if you vaccinate or you don’t breastfeed don’t let someone make you feel like that’s why your baby gets sick. I know someone who EBFd 3 years and her daughter gets sick CONSTANTLY, has allergies and asthma.

mines only been sick once and it wasnt too bad. are you breastfeeding? I think that helps keep my baby healthy honestly lol.. he puts everything in his mouth. we travel on a plane every other months and we go to the USO at airports. he puts the toys in his mouth and I cringe everytime but what can you do 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ We dont vaccinate either so that may be part of it too. (Not here for debate lol, just noticed that sometimes babies tend to get a little sick right after getting their shots) so that might add to the amount of times your baby has been sick :( maybe try taking elderberry syrup daily for the whole family? including baby but make sure it has no honey in it

I have been very diligent with making people wash hands and faces before handling him. And he only goes to snuggle time once a week otherwise no exposure to other kids and that exposure only started a month ago. My son hasn’t been sick yet. I’m paranoid about it honestly.

My son has been sick one time and it was as runny nose. We are not worried about germs. If his toy falls we just give it back to him along with paci. A quick wipe with our shirt is about it. He does have his vaccines and flu shot but really some kids/adults are just more susceptible to t

I breastfeed, vaccinate and he's gotten sick once that wasn't too bad. I'm a SAHM so he's not exposed to a bunch yet but I also believe it just depends on the kid.

My son stays home with me while I work. I EBF. He’s been stuffy once when we went on vacation and once when he was teething until thanksgiving....where we had twenty people around. Now he has influenza A and a double ear infection poor thing.

During winter and autumn there is always a chance of getting more sick than during the warmer months. And since our kiddos are getting their first teeth it always lowers their immunity and they can get a cold faster then before. My little boy started to get his teeth a month and a half ago and he had a full nose on and off for the whole time he started teething. Hate it! I already got used to him having a full nose and coughing aaaall the time.

We are on cold number three since about August (and none of them have had any correlation to his vaccinations). It's always been a runny nose but this time it looks like he's getting a little cough to go with it. I exclusively breastfeed but he is around other kids and puts everything in his mouth. I think it's just a part of being a kid. Hopefully that means less getting sick when he starts school. I'm also lucky, though, I don't seem to catch anything he's had. I've also spent a lot of time around kids and germs and have a pretty good immune system.
