Sick again?!

Question

I wash my hands like I work in a hospital, I use hand sanitizer everywhere I go, I take 1,000mg of vitamin C everyday, I take 4 ColdFX everyday, I keep my house clean, and I got a flu shot!
So how am I sick right now?!
I did everything I could to keep from getting sick, but it happened anyways!
I feel like I’m being punished...

Probably because you got a flu shot 😂. I swear everyone I know who gets one always gets sick soon after. 
Idk what cold supplement that is but dont forget in the winter you need VitD in addition to C and zinc. D is greatly needed by the immune system

Your immune system could be a little weaker since you are so clean and the flu shot only protects again certain strains of the flu!

You’re definitely not sick because you got the flu shot. Just saying. 
Sometimes despite your best efforts it just happens. I wash my hands constantly too and am so careful about germs but I’ve got a cold rn too. It’s super frustrating but sometimes it’s just airborne and you can’t avoid it. 
Are you getting plenty of rest (not always possible I know), getting some exercise when you’re well, and drinking tons of fluids? All of those thing helps prevent illness as well. 
I also strongly recommend elderberry syrup. Sambucus is a good brand and you can get it on amazon. I don’t take it daily but i will take it if I think I’ve been exposed to cold/flu germs, if someone in my house is sick, or if I feel sick. Sometimes it helps you avoid developing a virus, and sometimes you come down with it anyway and it shortens the duration and cuts the severity significantly. I’m sick and sniffling but I’m not dying, and so far my three year old and husband are doing okay (they started taking some elderberry and it seems to be keeping it at bay for them).

The more you make the environment sterile, the more chances are you’ll get sick. Ask your doctor about it. Not saying to have people sneeze at you, but also don’t obsessively protect away from germs!

I was surrounded by my family while they had the flu. I washed my hands, avoided them all day, and still ended up catching it hours later!
