I haven’t had a period in 16 months

I went off the pill July 2018, had a period right away and then nothing. The doctors said they wouldn’t look into it until a year of trying to conceive.

August 2019 marked a year. They put me on progesterone to kick start a period. And it did, but it we very weak and a second period in August never came.

I met with a gynaecologist November 2019 and she had a line up of hormone pills to get my period back on track, starting with progesterone to kick off my period again. 12 days ago I finished those pills with no period in sight. However I was feeling very nauseous this week, and figured I’d do a pregnancy just in case. Thought I was wasting money though since they all have labels about finding six days sooner yada yada yada and I didn’t have a cycle to base things on.

I hadn’t even finished peeing on the stick and this happened.

And then my face happened

I’m just shocked. I thought it was impossible to get pregnant without a period.

My husband is away deer hunting this week. He’s been wanting to be a dad for years (I wanted to wait until my studies were done).

I can’t wait to see his face when I tell him 😊
